Illini Baseball Squares-Off Against Notre Dame in NCAA Tournament

After a historic regular season that featured a school-record 26-game winning streak and a Big Ten regular season championship, the Illini went 2-2 in the Big Ten Tournament.

Now, as the top seed in their NCAA Tournament Champaign Regional, the University of Illinois (48-8-1) is 1-0 in the postseason and facing Notre Dame (37-21) in the winners' bracket.

The victor in this matchup advances to the regional championship game, while the loser is not eliminated, but at a disadvantage in the double-elimination format. 

Illinois leads the all-time series against the Fighting Irish 38-25.

The Illini are also one win away from tying a school record for victories with 49.
