Charleston Park Problems

Wednesday, 18 March 2015

New signs have been placed at the park on the Northwest side of the Charleston downtown square, stating pets are banned, and video surveillance will enforce the rule. The park has dealt with pet owners not cleaning up after their dogs for more than a year, and now the county has had to go beyond fining the offenders. While there are other parks in Charleston to walk your dog to, officials kindly remind you to clean up after your pets. If you're questioning the rules of your favorite park, you can contact the Charleston Parks and Recreation Office. In the meantime, county sheriff's deputies will be monitoring the park and its video surveillance for violators.
