An Effingham plant will be closing their doors.

Employees of Southeastern Container learned Tuesday their plant will be shutting down either late this year or early next year.

Company officials say they will try to place as many of the plants 50 or so employees at other Southeastern locations.

Officials say the company produces up to eight million plastic bottles a week and supplies them to Coca-Cola bottling plants throughout the midwest.
