Work is moving forward on a new multi-million dollar fertilizer plant in Douglas County.
Recently, Cronus Chemicals signed a $1.5 billion engineering and construction contract with Tecnimont Company to build the plant in Tuscola.
Officials say the project is expected to start this summer and will be finished in approximately three years.
The plant will employ up to 200 people, while another 2,000 temporary construction jobs are expected to be created.
