The Edgar County coroner identifies a man who died in a house fire.

Peter Templeton says 59-year-old William Armentrout died in the home on Illinois Route One in rural Dennison.

Templeton says the death is consistent with carbon monoxide poisoning from smoke inhalation.

The Illinois State Fire Marshall's office says the fire started in the home's living room.

They say the fire appears to be accidental, but an official cause is still undertermined.
