If you are a hunter planning on opening shotgun season this Friday on Lake Shelbyville, listen up!
Lake Shelbyville Park Ranger Sarah Randall says general deer permits will NOT be enough to hunt near the lake.
She says only deer permits that specifically say Lake Shelbyville Project are valid.
Randall says Lake Shelbyville is designated a special hunt area to control the amounts of hunters on the lake.
She says this also helps keep the quality of the hunt high.
