A fire destroys a rural Villa Grove home and the reason may be a space heater. Longview fire chief Keith Miller says his department got the call just before 7:30 this morning. As News Watch's Margaret Langevin reports when the fire department got to the house, the situation was a small laundry room fire but then spread quickly. News Watch did speak with the Davis family but they weren't comfortable going on camera. They say the Red Cross is helping them out and they will be getting a rental house. Miller says it took crews about three hours to extinguish the fire. He says the Illinois Fire Marshal is helping determine an official cause.
