Illinois citizens now have even longer to register to vote this year thanks to an extension to the voting grace period.
The grace period starts October 8th and runs until election day on November 4th.
During that grace period, citizens can register at any County Clerk's office, but you must vote at that time.
The deadline to register and to be eligible to vote at a precinct polling place is October 7th.
