Enrollment figures are released at this community college and like some other schools, numbers are down.
Parkland College admissions director Reo Wilhour says enrollment is down from last year - about 550 students.
He says overall about 9,000 students attend classes at the Champaign campus.
Wilhour says cost and the economy play a role in the decline.
Eastern Illinois University in Charleston is also down more than 850 students from last year.
