The Mattoon YMCA will soon be expanding!
Last night the city council approved the five year lease to the Y.
Officials say the land was not being utilized by the city.
This small section of land will add just under 300 square feet of space to the Y.
City officials say the facility will have the option to purchase this land once the lease is up.
Y officials are expected to release details about the expansion later this week.
