The trial of a man accused of shooting and killing a women in her Charleston home is postponed.
Officials say Larry Steeples' defense is asking for more time before he goes to trial, so he can be examined for possible mental health issues.
Officials also say Steeples' judge will allow time for the examination by a health expert, but it must be done in his Coles County jail cell.
His new trial date is set for October 10th.
Steeples is accused of shooting Gina Giberson in her home April 7th.
If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.
