An Oakland man is killed in a car accident.
Officials say police and fire departments were dispatched early Saturday morning to Oakland/Ashmore road.
They say 23-year-old Thomas A. Chapman was killed when a vehicle he was in went off the roadway and into a ditch.
The Coles County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the accident.
