Monday, 25 August 2014

The Illinois Department of Human Services has set up more than 100 cooling centers around the state as high heat and humidity linger.

Governor Pat Quinn's office says the centers are open in Department of Human Services offices.

Their locations are available by calling the agency or checking its website.

The National Weather Service issued heat warnings for all of Illinois except the extreme northern counties.

To find centers: call (800) 843-6154 or check www.keepcool.illinois.gov.
