A health care system that includes a Terre Haute hospital says it will cut 150 jobs by the end of the year.

Union Hospital announced the cuts in a letter to its employees last week.

The letter from chief executive Pat Board says Union must reduce its costs by an estimated $200 million by 2020 to remain financially strong.

Union Health includes Union Hospital in Terre Haute and Union Clinton Hospital in Vermillion County north of Terre Haute in western Indiana.

Administrators plan to release details on cost-cutting measures this week.
