The city of Mattoon Public Works Department says south 9th Street will be closed for construction near Williams Elementary beginning at 7:00am Monday, July 21st.
The department says construction crews will be installing a pipe culvert under 9th Street near the south property line of First Baptist Church.
Access to Brookstone Estates, Mattoon Health Care, and East Side Church of the Nazarene will be available from Old State Road.
Access to Williams Elementary, Sunrise Apartments, and First Baptist Church will be from the north.
The work is expected to be completed by Friday, July 25th.
