A Newman man is dead after he crashed into an Amtrak train. Officials say a 42-year-old Newman man was driving his fertilizer truck Thursday night when he drove in front of an Amtrak Train in Savoy. Authorities say the man died after being airlifted to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Officials say there were close to 100 passengers on board, and most of them complained about a sore neck. Authorities are not releasing the victim's name at this time.
