One of the three people Lopez killed was U.S. Army sergeant Timothy Owens, a native of Effingham.
As of now, there are no funeral arrangements made for Owens, but his family says when there are it will be open to the public.
President Barack Obama plans to be in Fort Hood Wednesday to attend a memorial service for victims of last weeks deadly shooting.
Obama and the first lady visited fort hood under similar circumstances in 2009, after another shooting rampage left more than a dozen people dead.
