Mattoon police, with the help of several other agencies, arrested Kevin Morlan on Monday evening for shooting five homes.
Police believe Morlan used a handgun to shoot the houses that were occupied.
No injuries were reported.
Morlan faces multiple charges including aggravated discharge of a firearm and possession of methamphetamine.
The shootings happened between November 11th and 23rd on North 20th Street, 11th Street, South 22nd Street, and Edgar Avenue.
Morlan remains in jail.
