Charleston Smartphone App

A program aimed at helping one local community improve the quality of life is a hit.

Charleston Mayor Larry Rennels says the new application called See-Click-Fix has made it easier for residents to voice their neighborhood concerns.

The free app allows residents to report non-emergency neighborhood issues.

These concerns are then sent to local government as a form of community activism.

Rennels says residents are also able to report descriptive information like location details and photos.

"It's amazing how much it has relieved phone calls from the front office with people, with things they've seen," says Rennels. "It's also been amazing for me to see things that we didn't hear about before."

You can access the website on www.charlestonillinois.org or download the smartphone app at www.seeclickfix.com.
