Mikal Washington Sentenced

A Champaign military veteran has been sentenced to ten years in prison for shooting his wife.

Experts say 35-year-old Mikal Washington suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder when he shot his now ex-wife several times in their car in December 2012.

Washington was sentenced after pleading guilty but mentally ill to aggravated battery with a firearm.

State Farm Center Clean Up

Early Tuesday morning officials say a storm drain backed up inside the arena leaving several inches of water on the floor.

The university told Sports Watch this afternoon, the water is cleaned up and the court is dry and ready for use.

The men's team's first game at home is an exhibition against Quincy on November 7th.
