Animal Shelter Security

The Coles County Animal Shelter has had animals stolen in the past. Now, it's taken an important step to catch potential criminals threatening the animals' safety. Tolono Parks Smoking Ban

A Champaign County city is saying no to puffing on the playground.

Champaign-Urbana Public Health District Special Projects Coordinator Tara McCauley says on January 1, the city of Tolono will put a ban on smoking in all village parks.

McCauley says violators will get a twenty five dollar fine for the first violation, a 50 dollar fine for the second, and up to a five hundred
