The Illini lose a key player to the offense.
University of Illinois head coach Tim Beckman says wide receiver Ryan Lankford will be out for the rest of the season due to
a shoulder injury during Saturday's loss to Michigan State.
It was after the game that the coach suspected Lankford's injury to be season-ending.
Lankford is second in total yardage for the Illini behind running back Josh Ferguson.
He will finish his career at 70 catches for more than a thousand yards and seven touchdowns.
