The coronavirus threat to senior citizens is forcing some counties to remove polling places from nursing homes for their safety.
In Champaign County, the following locations will not be used as polling sites for the 20-20 general primary on March 17th and they include Clark-Lindsey in Urbana, the Glenwood in Mahomet and Eagle View Retirement Home in Rantoul.
Voters will be re-directed to the following locations:
Clark-Lindsey moved to St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Urbana
Glenwood voters moved to the Elk's Pavilion at Lake of the Woods Park
Eagle View Retirement Home will be redirected to the Gathering Place.
Early voting is open until March 16th and voters can all the Champaign County Clerk's office to request a vote by mail ballot.
