A Decatur university is breaking ground on a $25 million fine arts center.
Millikin University in Decatur will break ground on the Center for Theatre and Dance next year.
The Center will allow the University to consolidate facilitates for offices, classrooms, studios, and a theatre.
Millikin School Director Mary Black says enrollment has increased by 42-percent within the last five years, and the new
facility will accommodate the growing number of students.
The building is expected to open in the fall of 2020.
