A run is planned to honor an Eastern Illinois University student killed 17 years ago.
Shannon McNamara was sexually assaulted and murdered in her off-campus apartment back in 2000.
Every year since her death, family and friends have organized the Run for Shannon's event.
This year the run will take place in her hometown of Rolling Meadows at the high school on Saturday October 29th.
