The city of Effingham is honoring the fallen heroes of September 11th, one step at a time.
St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital is hosting the 20-17 Memorial Stair Climb, in a way to honor and remember the firefighters, police officers, and E-M-S that gave their lives to save others on the fateful day.
HS-HS St. Anthony's says each participant will pay tribute to the fallen by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center.
Effingham officials say through community participation, they will ensure the fallen heroes will never be forgotten, and the world knows, we will never forget.
The climb will take place in the hospital auditorium.
