A vehicle chase ends with one driver being airlifted to a nearby hospital.
Mattoon police say on Wednesday, they were sent to the BP gas station located in the 1200 block of Charleston Avenue regarding a wanted suspect.
Police say Blake Bolen was wanted for failure to appear in court on a charge of possession of methamphetamine.
They say when they approached Bolen sitting in a truck, he immediately fled the gas station.
Authorities say they chased Bolen to IL Rt. 45 until the truck Bolen was driving crashed into a semi near N. Route 45 and 1000 North.
Police say the driver of the semi truck wasn't injuried, but Bolen was airlifted to Carle Hospital in Urbana for treatment of his injuries.
