The Illinois State Police is investigating a fatal accident involving a 14-year-old in Piatt County.
On Sunday afternoon, police responded to railroad tracks located on Piatt Street in Bement.
Officers say the teenager was attempting to cross the tracks and was hit by the train.
No names are being released and the investigation continues.
