Hospitals Lift Flu Regulations

Monday, 1 May 2017

A drop in flu cases prompts hospitals to lift some regulations.

Officials at Carle Foundation Hospital are no longer limiting visitors due to the drop in influenza cases in the region.

Officials say they saw a spike in patients experiencing the flu and other respiratory illnesses earlier this year.

That rise caused the Illinois Department of Public Health to suggest hospitals limit visitors in an effort to protect patients.

Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital says they're also lifting similar restrictions at their facility as well.
