The plans to rebuild the Shuttered Eagle Creek Resort are still ongoing.
Area officials are still meeting with the Illinois Department of Natural Resource leaders to discuss potential projects.
IDNR Director Wayne Rosenthal says the project is still on hold due to the lack of a state budget.
The resort opened in 1989 and closed in 2009 because of extensive mold problems.
