The number of hospitals affiliated with the Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) climbs to fifteen.
Shelby Memorial Hospital has confirmed joining HSHS as well as acquiring a new name - HSHS Good Shepard Hospital.
Hospital officials say they'll continue to improve the patient experience and health care delivery throughout Shelby County.
HSHS CEO Mary Starmann-Harrison says the goal is to keep health care services local and provide patients with access to specialty care.
