Expect to see more Illinois State Police on the roads in Effingham County next month.
Troopers will be conducting Roadside Safety Checks for the next several weeks.
Police say they'll be looking for drivers who are speeding, driving under the influence, and driving with suspended licenses.
They say alcohol and drug impairment is a factor in more than 30% of all fatal motor vehicle crashes in Illinois and throughout the U.S.
