Hunters False Residency

Thursday, 12 January 2017

Some Hunters in Illinois and Indiana are facing hefty fines.
Conservation officers in the two states say they've issued more than $85,000 dollars in fines to hunters who falsely claim residency in either state to get a hunting permit at a cheaper rate.
Both states have laws saying a person may only claim residency in one state at a time when buying a resident hunting or fishing license.
211 people have been cited in Illinois for falsification while 57 cases were filed in Indiana.
