A Mattoon sex offender accused of luring a child from a park has pleaded guilty.
In court Monday, 37-year-old Derek Luckey pleaded guilty to aggravated kidnapping and child abduction.
In exchange for the guilty plea, Luckey was sentenced to 10 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Police say Luckey tried to abduct a child from Peterson Park last September.
Luckey became a registered sex offender after he pleaded guilty to sexually abusing two teenagers back in 2008.
