Southern Illinois University Carbondale is working on allowing alcohol at campus events to bring in students along with money. The university will start working on the policy after the holiday break said Interim Chancellor Brad Colwell. Eastern Illinois University is having the same financial difficulties and Eastern’s Economics professor Teshome Abebe said he doesn’t believe serving alcohol at campus events will generate much money for the college, but it will bring in more students.
