An Urbana man has pleaded guilty to the strangling of his wife.
The Champaign County Sheriff's Office says 38-year-old Shuan Thomas turned himself in after strangling his wife, 37-year-old Jessica Thomas, and hiding her body in a plastic tote he bought from Wal-Mart.
Officials say Thomas is charged on three counts of murder with an intent to kill, and one count of concealing a homicidal death.
Prosecutors say as part of a plea deal with Thomas, they will recommend Thomas' sentence be no more than 45 years, along with two murder counts and one count of concealment of a homicidal death be dropped.
Thomas is schedule to appear in court November 30th at 1:30 p.m.
