Mattoon Police are releasing the name of a man charged with Attempted Child Abduction and Attempted Criminal Sexual Assault.
Police say 37-year-old Derek Luckey was allegedly following a juvenile boy near a park before stopping his vehicle and tried to lure the child into a physical relationship.
Authorities say Luckey had no previous contacts with the boy.
Luckey is currently a registered Sexual Predator as a result of a 2008 conviction for the Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse of Minors.
