Arrests Made after Vehicles Damaged in Charleston

Police make arrests after a several vehicles are damaged around Charleston.

Authorities say on Friday morning, they stopped a vehicle at the Mach 1 gas station after receiving information on suspected gun and drug activity.

They say one of the occupants in the vehicle, 23-year-old Kenneth Ghaziani, ignored police commands and fled.

Police say after a short pursuit, Ghaziani was arrested inside the County Market grocery store.

Authorities say they found suspected methamphetamine and cocaine in the vehicle.

Ghaziani and three other suspects are also accused of damaging several vehicles around Charleston Thursday night and Friday morning.

The suspects are in the Coles County jail pending a court appearance.
