A former Champaign police officer is headed to jail.
According to court records, 31-year-old Jerad Gale pleaded guilty to aggravated criminal sexual abuse in two Champaign County cases and one Piatt County case.
In the Piatt County case, Gale was sentenced to 180 days in jail starting June 3rd.
Gale will also be on probation for four years and register as a sexual predator.
Records show Gale was also sentenced to jail time in his Champaign cases, but that time will run concurrently with his Piatt County sentence.
