Mattoon brothers are facing domestic battery charges.
Police say on May 25th, 33-year-old Shane Brant and 31-year-old Matthew Brant were arrested after an incident on South 16th Street.
Police say the brothers were arguing when Matthew Brant hit Shane Brant in the head with a glass vase.
They say Shane Brant also cut Matthew's arm with a knife.
Both men were taken to jail after treatment at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
