Mattoon Armed Robbery

Mattoon police say two people are facing charges after an armed robbery.
On Monday morning, just after 4am, police arrested 24-year-old Tiara Farris and 24-year-old Jared Sykes, both of Mattoon.
Police say Farris and Sykes lured a person to their residence on Marshall Avenue with the intent of taking the victim's drugs.
They believe a knife was used during the incident, but no injuries were reported.
Both suspects remain in the Coles County jail pending the filing of formal charges.
