A fatal collision between an Illinois state trooper and a 26-year-old woman has been linked to a police pursuit of a suspect in an officer's shooting earlier that night.
Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Matthew Boerwinkle says the trooper was responding to a call about the Mahomet officer's shooting late Saturday when his patrol car hit a van driven by Kelley E. Wilson in Decatur.
The trooper had activated his flashing lights and siren.
Police are still looking for Dracy Pendleton who's charged with attempted murder of a police officer.
