A domestic dispute leads to the investigation of a canine death in Lerna.
Coles County Animal Shelter Assistant Manger Jason Wallace says a dog's remains were found near Lerna today.
He says his office has been following a suspicious dog death since earlier this week.
Wallace says foul play is suspected and an investigation is on-going.
X-rays on the remains were being done this afternoon.
