Paris Police will soon welcome a new four-legged officer!
The Paris city council approved a nine thousand dollar purchase of a narcotic dog at last night's meeting.
City Administrator Paul Ruff says the officer and the dog will go through special training before reporting to duty.
He says this will be the first time in several years, the police department has had a canine unit.
