Champaign residents are being warned of a new phone scam.
Authorities say scammers are calling residents telling them they have failed to show for jury duty, and need to a pay a fee to avoid being arrested.
Police say in some cases the callers have left a false call back number.
The sheriff's office says if you receive one of these calls, do NOT give any information, and notify your local police.
