2015 has been a successful season for Illinois deer hunters.
This year, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources says hunters harvested more than 85,000 deer during the seven-day firearm season.
Officials say firearm season is officially over, but there are still opportunities to hunt.
Illinois' archery deer hunting season lasts until January 17th, and muzzleloader-only season runs Friday through Sunday.
Late-winter antlerless-only deer hunting seasons are scheduled for December 31st to January 3rd, and again January 15-17th.
