Neoga Tax Referendum

Friday, 13 November 2015

The Neoga school board will once again turn to tax referendum to help solve the district's financial problems.

Last spring residents were asked to support a tax increase for the school district but it was voted down.

Officials say the tax could generate more than$400,000 a year and will be placed on the general primary ballot in March.

If passed the district will use the money for extracurricular activities ... programs and a return to a regular school day.
