The Marshall School board votes unanimously to dismiss Tom Brannan as their varsity basketball coach.
The 7-0 decision came at last night's meeting, with Brannan now out of the program after 23 years as head coach.
Brannan collected 460 wins, including a trip to the State Finals in 2009, where Marshall finished third.
Superintendent Kevin Ross declined to discuss the reason for firing Brannan, but says the next step is to find a new coach as soon as possible.
The Lions' first basketball game is less than two months away.
