A former Charleston police officer accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year old girl is now charged with child pornography.
Illinois Apellate Prosecutor Lorinda Lamken says 33-year old David Iwaniw of Charleston is accused of soliciting the minor to participate in a video.
Iwaniw was arrested by Illinois State Police on February 19th.
He resigned from the Charleston Police Department.
He returns to court April 9th.
