Tuesday, 16 December 2014

The Decatur police department will once again provide security for public schools in the area.
The Decatur city council unanimously agreed to add four officers into the schools.
City officials say two will be placed at the high school, and two more will be at the middle school.
Officers have served in the district for years until last school year when the city could no longer pay for the officers.
The school district has agreed to pay 75% of the costs for the protection.
