MAHOMET, IL - The Champaign County Coroner released the name of a Mahomet woman who died in a two-car car accident over the weekend.
Fifty-seven-year-old Gail Ellis was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Illinois State Police said the crash happened on Illinois Route 47 near Lombard Road in Mahomet.
Police said the driver of the second car was not hurt and traffic was diverted for several hours.
The accident is still under investigation.
